Key Responsibilities
- Aid in recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and supervising program staff.
- Coordinate daily operations of the Fitness Center and Sports Programs, including scheduling spaces and managing equipment upkeep in collaboration with the maintenance team.
- Plan, implement, and improve Wellness and Sports Programs, including high-quality age-appropriate lessons.
- Provide opportunities to demonstrate learned skills to ensure member satisfaction and alignment with YMCA standards.
- Ensure that all equipment is age-appropriate, safe, and in proper working condition, including conducting monthly equipment safety checks.
- Research and support the development of new and enhanced program offerings based on member needs and feedback.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework preferred.
- Ability to work with participants of varying experience and skill levels.
- Excellent hospitality, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of fitness trends, fitness training, Foundations of Strength and Conditioning, Group Exercise, and Listen First.
- Knowledgeable of the Principles of Member Health & Wellness.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
