Sports Events Manager, UM Athletics
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Internal Operations team
- Frequently work nights and weekends for events
- Help supervise part-time event staff for all Adams Center, Grizzly Athletics and rental events
- Assist with recruitment and the overall hiring process
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge and skill equivalent to a high school education
- Possess a current driver’s license
- Basic accounting and money-handling skills
- Knowledge of basic supervisory practices
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple events at the same time
- Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively
- Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating and/or working during events of any kind, particularly athletic events and/or concerts

Compensation Title: Events Promotion Coordinator I
Bargaining Unit: FOCUS-MFPE
Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), 12 months/year, frequently work nights and weekends for events
Probationary Period: Six (6) months minimum
