Event Manager -UNI Athletics Facilities and Operations

Responsibilities

• Oversees event management and operations in the UNI-Dome, McLeod Center and assigned outdoor athletic facilities
• Serves as the operations lead for assigned athletic facilities
• Supervises visiting crews in the production of sporting and entertainment events
• Provides oversight of support services, maintenance, custodial services, concessions set up and tear down, and security
• Supervises the preventive maintenance programs and completes minor maintenance repairs
• Performs and supervises event set ups, tear downs, and facility conversions
• Performs daily facility maintenance
• Oversees outdoor athletic facility management
• Oversees maintenance of assigned outdoor practice and competition facilities as assigned with the Physical Plant and City of Cedar Falls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of event and facility management experience in a multi-purpose and/or outdoor facility
• Student experience will be considered
• Frequent evening and weekend work will be necessary
• Must abide by the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, the Big XII Conference and the University of Northern Iowa
