Sports Communication Student Worker

About the Role
Assist with daily media relations and communications duties related to UGA’s 21-sport varsity athletic program. Students will be assigned specific sports to support Game Day operations and must have a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. The role also involves office/clerical tasks such as answering phones, scanning documents, and completing special projects.
Responsibilities
- Support media relations and communications for UGA Athletics.
- Assist with Game Day operations for assigned sports.
- Perform office/clerical duties, including answering phones and scanning documents.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign is beneficial.
- Basic sports writing skills and social media capability.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for nights and weekends.
- Grady College or Sport Management majors preferred.

- Standing, walking, and using hands to handle or feel objects.
- Occasional sitting, talking, or hearing.
- Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision required.
- Ability to work in moderate to high-noise environments, especially during athletic competitions.
