About the role
The Sports Nutrition Student Worker will assist Sports Nutritionists with providing nutrition services for UGA Olympic Sports. This will include different areas of food service and food management, education, and outreach as it relates to collegiate sports nutrition within the guidelines of the NCAA and compliance rules at UGA.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, stock and maintain fueling stations in sport locker rooms, weight room, and nutrition offices
- Help pack competition and travel snacks for teams in season
- Aid with general office organization and operations as needed
- Assist in receiving large food/ supplement deliveries and stocking storage rooms
- Aid in storage room/ inventory management of refrigerated and dry food products
- Develop educational outreach for bulletin boards and departmental social media
- Collaborate with Sports Nutritionists and interns in creation of educational material for specific sports teams including handouts, electronic designs, team talks, etc.
- Work with Sports Nutritionists and interns to create social media posts and outreach
- Help with food demonstrations, food challenges, and other snack demos
- Engage with our student-athletes to spread nutrition themes, messages, etc.
- Assist in departmental projects and tasks as needed
- Perform other tasks and projects as they arise on a day-to-day basis
