Sports Coach

About the role

The Afterschool Sports Coach Program at Elevo runs from August 17, 2026, to May 21, 2027. The schedule includes Monday through Friday from 2:15 PM to 6:00 PM, with Saturdays being non-operational.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured, engaging activities and sports using Elevo’s curriculum
• Manage group dynamics and support positive student behavior
• Partner with school staff and fellow coaches to create a welcoming program environment
• Show up consistently as a role model who helps students build confidence and social skills

Requirements

• Experience coaching, playing sports, working in education, or leading youth in any setting
• Ability to engage in constant movement, sitting, standing, running, and moving on uneven terrain
• Pass a Live Scan Background check and TB screening
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED

• Ability to stay calm and empathetic in challenging situations
• Quickly build trust with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to run activities on time and adapt when necessary
• Collaboration with fellow coaches and school partners

$21 per hour

Monday: 2:15 - 6:00 PM
Tuesday: 2:15 - 6:00 PM
Wednesday: 2:15 - 6:00 PM
Thursday: 2:15 - 6:00 PM
Friday: 2:15 - 6:00 PM
Saturday: Not operational
