About the role

The Sporting Clays Course Assistant plays an important role in ensuring Cleghorn Gun Club provides a safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained experience for all shooters and guests. The ideal candidate is responsible, hardworking, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Aid members and guests with sporting clays activities
• Operate and manage the Pro Shop point-of-sale (POS) system
• Check in customers and process sales transactions
• Load and maintain clay target traps throughout the course
• Perform general grounds maintenance and upkeep
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility
• Assist with daily course preparation and closing procedures
• Provide general customer support and answer questions about course operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to safely lift and carry 35 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience around firearms is preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn safe firearm handling practices and club procedures
