Course Assistants
Duties
- Administrative Course Assistant Role:
- Aid course professors in grading papers, case studies, discussion boards, ATI or educational resource submissions.
- Perform all administrative tasks promptly, as required by course professors.
- Model professional nursing behavior.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with course professors, staff, and students.
- Submit a biweekly activity report to the Student Success Coach.
- Tutoring Course Assistant Role:
- Offer regular, in-person or virtual office hours as per the contract.
- Instruct recitation sessions according to class schedules.
- Provide small group and individual tutoring on course content, test-taking strategies, and student success techniques.
- Act as a role model for professional nursing.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with course professors, staff, and students.
- Submit a biweekly activity report to the Student Success Coach.
Requirements
Applicants must possess relevant clinical expertise and experience for the assigned courses. Must be physically available on exam days for in-person exam proctoring.
Qualifications
Must have strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in using Canvas LMS is required. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
