Spiritual Counselor
About the role
Join The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Kansas City as a Spiritual Counselor and help men rebuild their lives through faith, structure, and compassionate guidance.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group spiritual counseling sessions
- Lead devotionals, journaling groups, and Bible-based recovery discussions
- Develop and manage individualized rehabilitation and spiritual growth plans
- Maintain detailed case notes and progress reports in our Service Point system
- Collaborate with program staff and community partners to support beneficiary success
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ministry development
Requirements
A strong personal faith and desire to help others experience God’s grace
Excellent communication and listening skills
Counseling, case management, or ministry experience preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation
Basic computer proficiency
Must pass all applicable background checks
