About the role
The Spine Product Manager drives sales performance by developing and executing strategic sales plans to meet or exceed quota and key business objectives for the Arthrex Spine portfolio. This role provides high-level technical expertise and support to both internal teams and external customers, with regular interaction and travel throughout the Arthrex Colorado Springs sales territory.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team in meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the territory.
- Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships and by developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding product updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs.
- Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet or exceed territory objectives.
- Create and submit team quotas to executive sales leadership, including Director of Sales and Agency Owner.
- Establish and nurture relationships with residency and fellowship programs to drive product adoption, use, and brand awareness.
- Support and assist product managers with establishing quotas to be submitted to the Director of Sales and Agency Owner.
- Devise and implement plans and meetings that hold all levels of the team accountable for staying on target with quota achievement.
- Identify new prospects' needs and develop appropriate written, telephone, and face-to-face responses.
- Cross-sell additional products and manage new product introductions as they become available.
- Receive coaching, training, or mentoring from the director of sales; transfer knowledge to other managers, sales representatives, and sales associates as needed.
- Lead by example, demonstrating proper time and sales initiative use.
- Constantly analyze sales performance and opportunities for growth.
- Regularly analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency, multi-tasking skills, and the ability to manage responsibilities under strict deadlines.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of demonstrated sales success in the spine industry.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/spine market.
- Comfortability in open operating room environments, and familiarity with OR protocols and procedures.
- Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it specifically relates to Arthrex.
- Ability to learn a high level of technical information, anatomy, and indications as it relates to surgery and procedures.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and able to work independently with sound decision-making.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
