Spill Response Technician - UMIAQ Environmental

UIC Arctic Operations & Development is currently seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead our Arctic operations and development projects. This role will be based in our headquarters in Chicago.

About the role

The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery. They will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Oversee project execution and coordinate with team members
• Ensure compliance with project scope, quality standards, and safety protocols
• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience
• Experience in Arctic operations and development projects preferred
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)

Skills

• Project management software proficiency (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
