About the Role
Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments in a home health setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech therapy services within legal scope and in coordination with the healthcare team.
- Evaluate patient function using diagnostic tests and assist in developing therapy plans.
- Implement interventions to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
- Monitor and document patient responses and progress, reporting changes to supervisors.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and strategies.
Requirements
- Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
Qualifications
- Preferred: CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
