About the role
A clinical fellowship year (CFY) opportunity is available for a Speech Therapist to gain hands-on experience in a leading healthcare organization. This position offers a comprehensive learning environment where fellows can apply their skills under supervision and participate in ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic interventions to patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other therapists to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patient needs and progress towards goals.
- Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately and timely.
- Participate in continuing education activities to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Passing score on the Praxis II exam or equivalent certification.
- Completion of a minimum of 12 months of supervised clinical experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of California.
- Experience working with diverse populations and ability to adapt treatment plans accordingly.
