Speech Therapist - Clinical Fellow (CF)

Responsibilities

• Completes a minimum of 36 weeks Clinical Fellowship under supervision and mentorship of a licensed, ASHA certified SLP.
• Completes all requirements for provisional licensure, if applicable to the state, and practices within state licensure requirements and professional standards.
• Maintains timely communication with direct supervisor and Director of Rehab regarding status of Clinical Fellowship, licensure, and required documentation.
• Maintains productivity standards for the rehab gym, or as directed by the Director of Rehab/Clinical Operations Area Director.
• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences, and other related meetings.
• Makes referrals to other disciplines and agencies to address comprehensive patient needs.
• Selects and implements appropriate therapeutic regimens based on patient needs and capabilities.
• Adapts treatment programs and plans of care as needed to meet individual patient needs.
• Promotes a safe environment and enforces safety protocols.
• Orders and maintains equipment as necessary.
• Screens, examines, and evaluates patients, synthesizing information to establish diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
• Selects and instructs patients in appropriate therapeutic activities and evaluates patient progress and behavior.
• Performs routine reexaminations as needed to modify or progress treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a similarly titled area acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed, certified, or credentialed in the state of practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
