Overview

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia
• Interprets assessment data; plans and performs speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential
• Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric
• Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers
• May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school (Required)
• CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (Required)
• Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology (Required)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC (Required)
