Education, Training, Experience, Certification And Licensure

  • Graduate of a speech-language pathology program approved by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New York.
  • Currently maintains the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competence.

Experience

  • Experience with Modified Barium Swallow, electro larynx, tracheostomy speaking valves and augmentative communication equipment.
  • Experience administering clinical swallowing evaluations/therapy programs and communication evaluations/therapy for neurologically impaired and medically fragile populations.

Supervision

  • Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise as applicable.
  • Supervised by Service Coordinator or Manager.
  • Supervises Speech-Language Pathology students, after one year clinical experience.

Pay

Pay Rate: $50.00/hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
