Location: Halawa to Kalihi
Salary: $7,018 to $7,479 per month (includes Shortage Category Differential). Hiring rates depend on availability of funds, applicant qualifications, and other relevant factors.
About the Role
Participates in and is responsible for a major content area of the speech-language program, involving planning, organizing, coordinating, and assisting in the conduct of such a program. As a highly independent and competent worker, provides diagnostic evaluation and/or therapeutic services in the area of speech-language under the general supervision of a non-technical supervisor. Some positions may provide services covered under the Felix Consent Decree.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Speech Pathology.
- One year of professional experience in the detection, prevention, or treatment of speech-language disorders, or teaching speech pathology at the graduate level in an accredited university. Experience must be comparable to the Speech Pathologist III in State service.
- Valid license from the Hawaii State Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology to practice as a Speech Pathologist in the State of Hawaii.
- Valid Type-3 Driver’s License at the time of appointment.
