Speech Pathologist, IP/OP Rehab, Contingent, Day

Position Summary

To provide quality goal directed Speech and Language Pathology (SLP) evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning to patients in a variety of age groups with cognitive, communication and/or swallowing disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with cognitive, communication, and/or swallowing disabilities.
• Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Document progress and outcomes in patient records.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, Communication Disorders or related areas from an accredited college or university.
• No previous experience required.
• Current certification by the American Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ASHA) in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Maintains current state of New Jersey license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current BLS certification.

• Ability to use effective time management to set priorities and perform job-related responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate and interact with the health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Ability to function competently in a changing work environment related to changing patient needs.

Skills

• Current certification by the American Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ASHA) in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Maintains current state of New Jersey license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current BLS certification.
• May be a CFY candidate.
