Responsibilities
- Perform Speech Therapy evaluation and development of the plan of care appropriate for each patient based on the patient’s physical, mental, emotional, and developmental impairments and functional limitations.
- A variety of diagnoses and possibility of all 3 settings served include but are not limited to communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide Speech Therapy interventions in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law. Interventions may be related to but not limited to communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Supervise and complete appropriate documentation for Speech Therapy students as assigned by CCCE.
- Schedule Speech Therapy services according to department.
- Complete documentation in electronic medical record in a timely manner in accordance within department and professional expectations demonstrating the need for skilled interventions.
- Participate in patient care conferences/staffing as appropriate for multidisciplinary patients.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Speech Therapy program.
- Experience: 2 years’ experience as a Speech Therapist.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current IA and/or IL Speech Therapy licensure (or eligible). Current CPR certification. Certification of Clinical Competency issued by ASHA within 1 year of hire.
Qualifications
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
- Working knowledge of Epic.

Schedule
Shift: Monday – Friday, flexible hours between 7:00AM-6:00PM, 2-3 days a week
