Responsibilities

• Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia.
• Interprets assessment data; plans and performs speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach maximum potential.
• Provides patient care to all age groups, including neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.
• Supervises rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers.
• May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school.

Qualifications

• CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification through AHA or ARC.
