About the role

We are seeking progressive and entrepreneurial Per Diem Physicians with adult and pediatric experience to join our welcoming and diverse community of Northwell providers in our Staten Island Region. Per diem Physicians will be required to float to all centers in the Staten Island Region.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to patients in a variety of settings within the Staten Island Region.
• Floating to all centers in the Staten Island Region as needed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education opportunities provided by Northwell Health and GoHealth Urgent Care.

Requirements

• BC in Family Medicine, Med-Peds or Emergency Medicine.
• 1-2 years of experience in either an urgent care or emergency room setting treating all ages (6 months and older).
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), reading EKGs and X-rays.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York.
• Must have current DEA and NPI numbers.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
