About the role

Bedrock Health Care Center provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to evaluate, treat, document, and facilitate care for residents with impaired ability to swallow or communicate due to disease processes. As a Speech Pathologist, you will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, assist in developing communication and swallowing decline prevention policies, and support the Director of Nursing Service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for residents with swallowing or communication impairments.
  • Document and facilitate resident care plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as required.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing Service in developing policies and procedures for communication and swallowing decline prevention.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Speech-Language Pathology licensure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical information.
  • Effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Professionalism, courtesy, and respect in interactions with residents and staff.
