About the Role
The Speech Language Pathologist assesses, develops, and implements individualized therapy plans for clients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disabilities in community-based settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Review medical histories and collaborate with medical professionals
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies
- Instruct clients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs
- Document assessments, therapy progress, and outcomes
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide quality, patient-centered care
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience
- Ability to perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Effective communication skills with clients, caregivers, and medical professionals
- Willingness to travel as required
- Physical capacity for medium work, including exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
No supervisory responsibilities.
