Speech Language Therapist - School Age (2026-2027 SY)

About the role

Effective for the 2026-2027 school year, full-time Speech and Language Therapist positions are available within the Division of Student Services for the Chester County Intermediate Unit. These roles serve school‑age special education students countywide. The CCIU seeks motivated, dedicated, and collaborative professionals who are passionate about creating brighter futures for students, families, and the community, and who want to grow their career in an exciting, challenging environment.

Qualifications

• Valid PDE certification as a Speech & Language Therapist
• Master's degree in Communicative Disorders
• Certificate of Clinical Competence; Clinical Fellowship year considered
• Current police, child abuse and FBI fingerprint clearances required
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Provide speech/language therapy services
• Complete evaluations
• Maintain all paperwork for a caseload of students, including itinerant classrooms

Pay

Salary for the 2026‑27 school year ranges from $74,415 to $107,845 for SLPs with a Master's degree in Speech Pathology/Communication Sciences Disorders (Track I). Placement within the range is determined by years of experience.
