Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Role Overview

Provide assessment and treatment for adult and geriatric patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting. Work independently to deliver high-quality patient care, including swallow evaluations, dysphagia treatment, speech and language assessments, and conducting MBS studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 10–12 patients
• Perform adult swallow evaluations and dysphagia treatments
• Utilize fluoroscopic MBS studies to inform patient care
• Collaborate within a team of approximately five SLP staff

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Active Florida SLP license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience with MBS/fluoroscopy studies and adult/geriatric acute care populations
• Proficiency with Meditech or similar documentation systems

Work during daytime hours with no on-call or night shifts required. The role emphasizes autonomous practice within a collaborative environment, impacting patient care nationwide.
