Role Overview: Provide assessment and treatment for adult and geriatric patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting. Work independently to deliver high-quality patient care, including swallow evaluations, dysphagia treatment, speech and language assessments, and conducting MBS studies. Qualifications & Skills Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited programCompleted Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)Active Florida SLP licenseBLS certification from the American Heart AssociationExperience with MBS/fluoroscopy studies and adult/geriatric acute care populationsProficiency with Meditech or similar documentation systems Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of approximately 10–12 patientsPerform adult swallow evaluations and dysphagia treatmentsUtilize fluoroscopic MBS studies to inform patient careCollaborate within a team of approximately five SLP staff Additional Details: Work during daytime hours with no on-call or night shifts required. The role emphasizes autonomous practice within a collaborative environment, impacting patient care nationwide.
