About the role

H2 Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our outpatient team in Chilhowie, Virginia. You'll work with a diverse outpatient population while delivering individualized, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's unique goals. You'll collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to help patients maximize independence and function. This position offers the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and families while making a meaningful impact throughout the Chilhowie community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
  • Assess and treat communication, language, cognitive-linguistic, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions designed to improve communication skills, cognition, safety, and overall quality of life
  • Collaborate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on treatment strategies, home programs, and techniques to support continued progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
  • Utilize Scribe AI-powered documentation technology to streamline documentation and maximize patient care time
  • Utilize the Raintree EMR platform for documentation, scheduling, and patient management
  • Contribute to a positive clinic culture focused on patient-centered care and clinical excellence

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain as required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care

Pay

Competitive compensation: $36.00 - 42.00 per hour with performance-based bonus opportunities.
