Role Overview
Evaluates and treats patients of all ages as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students, providing professional services and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive speech and feeding assessments, selecting appropriate evaluation procedures.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, collaborating with patients and families.
- Evaluates speech, language, feeding, and swallowing impairments, using standardized testing and clinical judgment.
- Educates patients and caregivers on home programs and coordinates with other healthcare professionals such as PT/OT.
- Completes documentation, billing, and adheres to clinical requirements, including supervising students and participating in training.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Licensed SLP in Illinois and BLS certification within 30 days.
- Experience in evaluating and treating speech, language, and feeding disorders.
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills.
