Role And Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and discharge planning across various settings.
- Conduct evaluations by reviewing patient history, performing assessments, and documenting results, then communicate findings and involve patients and families in goal setting.
- Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes, collaborate with healthcare team members, and adjust care plans as needed based on patient condition.
- Complete timely documentation of patient care activities, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring clarity of patient care trajectory.
- Manage time effectively to meet productivity standards, demonstrate flexibility, empathy, and professionalism to ensure seamless patient access to care.
- Engage in continuing education for professional growth, serve as a clinical instructor, and assist in onboarding and mentoring new staff and students.
Qualifications And Skills
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY).
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in relevant jurisdictions (MD, DC, VA).
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
