How You'll Contribute
- Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs
- Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition
- Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family
- Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress
- Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services
- Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Required
- Licensed Speech Therapist - Current licensure with State Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

University of Louisville Health Frazier Rehab Hospital-Brownsboro is a state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
