Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP/CCC-SLP) — Assisted Living Facility
About the role
Speech-language pathology in the skilled nursing setting is complex, challenging, and deeply rewarding. At TheraDynamics, our SLPs work with patients facing dysphagia, aphasia, cognitive-linguistic deficits, voice disorders, and communication barriers that affect every aspect of their daily lives. You will conduct instrumental assessments, design individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with dietary, nursing, and medical teams to ensure safe swallowing and effective communication. Your expertise is essential.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct bedside and instrumental swallowing assessments (MBSS/FEES experience is a plus).
- Develop diet texture recommendations in collaboration with dietary staff.
- Provide cognitive-linguistic therapy for patients with dementia and TBI.
- Train nursing staff and families on communication strategies and safe feeding techniques.
- Serve as a critical member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- CCC-SLP certification (or Clinical Fellowship candidates welcome).
- Current or eligible for New York State SLP license.
- Dysphagia assessment and treatment experience preferred.
- Strong collaboration and documentation skills.

All rates offered are based on position, years of applicable experience, and employment type. Rate ranges include levels for per diems with no benefits and Independent Contractors.
