About the role
We are seeking an experienced Home Care Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide patient-centered care in a home health setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct treatment to patients with speech, language, swallow, or cognitive disorders.
- Evaluate and develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, attend conferences, and support education initiatives for professionals, patients, and the community.
- Supervise and mentor peer and trainee performance.
- Assist with the orientation of new staff.
- Contribute to research activities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in speech language pathology.
- ASHA certification.
- Current state licensure.
- Strong knowledge of speech pathology principles.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- CPR certification.
- At least one year of relevant experience.
Requirements
- Willingness to travel.
- Minimum of twelve hours of continuing education annually.
- Ability to work independently in various settings.
