About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides a full range of speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with professional practices and ethical standards.

  • Evaluates patients to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through clinical assessments, standardized tests, and patient interviews.
  • Develops and implements individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings, setting measurable goals to address patients' specific needs.
  • Provides therapy to improve patients’ communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, voice modulation, and fluency, as well as swallowing and feeding abilities.
  • Educates patients and their families about the nature of disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies to support progress and enhance communication and swallowing in daily life.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • 0-1 years of experience
  • Current, valid state SLP licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred or required
  • Current valid CPR certification (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel minimally as required (typically less than 10%)
