Speech-Language Pathologist / Senior Speech-Language Pathologist - Inpatient Pediatrics
About the role
Help transform the lives of pediatric patients by equipping them with the essential tools to find their voices and confidently advocate for their own needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive evidence-based patient and family treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and discharge plans.
- Provide consultative and developmentally appropriate habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services to complex pediatric patients (infant to adolescent) in the acute care, inpatient rehab, and NICU settings in the domains of swallow, speech, language and cognition.
- Work within the context of patient- and family-centered care in a primary and specialty care academic medical center.
- Seek continual learning opportunities to advance one's own practice and educate others.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in speech-language pathology from an ASHA accredited graduate program
- Completion of Clinical Speech Language Pathology Fellowship
- 7 years or more of clinical experience post Clinical Speech Language Pathology Fellowship
- Experience in diagnostics specific to area of specialty
- Experience in providing therapy in the relevant area of specialty (e.g. speech, language, cognition, voice, airway, resonance, or swallow therapy)
- Experience supervising a learner
- Contribution to local or national professional boards and committees (such as ASHA or state-level speech and hearing associations)
Qualifications
- Preferred: Record of presentation at national and regional professional conferences
- Preferred: Record of leadership in program development/quality improvement initiatives
- PREFERRED: Interest in and/or history of seeking mentorship in developing leadership skills
Skills
- Strong interest in the pediatric rehabilitation population
- Interested in taking a leading role in rehab program development and expansion

Pay
The pay range listed reflects both titles. Additional components of compensation may include: Weekend differential Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants
Schedule
Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift. Sunday - Thursday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
