Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to school-aged students
  • Conduct speech-language evaluations, assessments, and reassessments
  • Develop IEP goals, accommodations, and service recommendations
  • Address articulation, phonology, expressive and receptive language, fluency, voice, pragmatics, and functional communication needs
  • Support student access to curriculum and classroom participation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation, progress reports, and service logs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
  • Support classroom strategies, accommodations, and communication supports
  • Travel between assigned school sites within the district, as needed

Requirements

  • Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (CFY candidates may be considered, if applicable)
  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Ability to manage a full-time caseload (35–37.5 hrs/week)
  • Availability for the entire 2026–2027 school year
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation for site-to-site travel

About the Role

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a school district in the Homeland area for the entire 2026–2027 school year. This is an onsite, school-based role serving students within the district and offering a consistent, full-time schedule.

The Speech-Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ communication needs, academic access, and social participation in the school setting.

The ideal candidate is a student-focused clinician with strong school-based skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage a full-time caseload within an educational environment.
