Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School Setting
Location: Roxboro
Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for conducting student evaluations and providing speech-language therapy services in accordance with individualized plans of care, educational goals, and applicable physician orders. The SLP will document services, collaborate with educators and families, and support students in achieving their communication goals.
Assignment Details
- School Setting: Elementary School (Grades K–5)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Bell Hours: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Hours Per Week: 37.5
- Contract Length: 9 Months
- Start Date: August 17, 2026
- Caseload may include students in extended content programs
- Work alongside two other Speech-Language Pathologists at the site
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and professional standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the State of North Carolina
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required based on assignment
- Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current health certificate as required by contract or state regulations
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
