About the role

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is a leading local provider of contracted therapy services dedicated to enhancing students' educational experience in schools. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of professionals, working collaboratively to support students' communication and language development within educational settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
  • Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech-language pathology.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology services in schools.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. (if applicable)
  • Education Certificate (if applicable)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) unless a CF.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in private practice or outpatient settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus.
  • Dedication to providing culturally competent and client-centered care.

Pay

$65 per hour

Schedule

In-person role for an estimated 7 hours a day for 35 weeks
