Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem

Description

Responsible for assessing and treating patients referred for speech, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders in an effective and professional manner. Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff, and families to ensure quality of care.

Therapists provide assessment and care for patients of all ages, from neonates through geriatric patients. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with speech, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical professionals, staff, and families.
• Provide care for patients of all ages, including neonates and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Maryland License to practice Speech Pathology.
• CPR certified within probationary period.
• Two years of experience in acute care or rehabilitation setting with an emphasis on adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia, and communication-cognitive impairments.
• Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the English language.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling, and charging systems.
