Speech Language Pathologist- Pediatrics & Adults

Staten Island, NY – Personal Touch Home Care is expanding our Special Needs Program and seeking compassionate Speech Language Pathologists who are passionate about delivering high-quality care in the home setting. This is a fee-for-service, 1099 contracted position paid per visit. Candidates must have a valid and active New York state license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
• Provide therapy to individuals of all ages, addressing issues such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university
• Valid professional license and registration for the state of New York
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills
• Two years of appropriate experience as a speech therapist preferred; home health experience is a plus
