Qualifications
NH State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist, strong organizational and communication skills. Candidate must have previous experience working with autistic children.
Summary Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of students' communication skills to determine their eligibility for treatment.
- Develop recommendations for interventions and provide services to carry out interventions so that students can meet educational performance standards.
- Work in partnership with others to meet student needs through consultation with teachers, parents, or other professionals, sharing assessment results and developing plans for services through the IEP process.
- Provide students with remediation for speech and language deficits.
- Support parents and teachers.
- Determine the appropriate approach for student's speech and language services.
- Screens students for further individualized assessment.
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment, meet individual, school and district wide student performance goals, and demonstrate a gain in student performance.
- Maintain professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating services, and participating in professional development.
