Qualifications

NH State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist, strong organizational and communication skills. Candidate must have previous experience working with autistic children.

Summary Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of students' communication skills to determine their eligibility for treatment.
  • Develop recommendations for interventions and provide services to carry out interventions so that students can meet educational performance standards.
  • Work in partnership with others to meet student needs through consultation with teachers, parents, or other professionals, sharing assessment results and developing plans for services through the IEP process.
  • Provide students with remediation for speech and language deficits.
  • Support parents and teachers.
  • Determine the appropriate approach for student's speech and language services.
  • Screens students for further individualized assessment.
  • Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment, meet individual, school and district wide student performance goals, and demonstrate a gain in student performance.
  • Maintain professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating services, and participating in professional development.
