Speech-Language Pathologist - Outpatient Pediatrics

About the role

Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting. Adapt therapy techniques to meet individual patient needs, instruct patients and families, and ensure high-quality, ethical care following ASHA guidelines. Document all interventions accurately and concisely. The role involves working in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing issues
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses
• Educate patients and families as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with ethical standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Active state license as an SLP
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Minimum of 6 months of recent SLP experience
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and adaptability skills
