Responsibilities
- Analyze and use purposeful activity with individuals limited by developmental disorders and disorders of speech, voice, swallowing, and related language and hearing to prevent or modify these disorders.
- Assist individuals in improving cognition, language, and communication skills.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop Plans of Care.
- Implement the Plan of Care for patients.
- Complete effective, professional, and timely documentation.
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program with a Master's degree in Speech/Language or Communication Disorders.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Association or equivalent coursework to meet these standards.
- Current Idaho State SLP license.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
