Responsibilities

• Analyze and use purposeful activity with individuals limited by developmental disorders and disorders of speech, voice, swallowing, and related language and hearing to prevent or modify these disorders.
• Assist individuals in improving cognition, language, and communication skills.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop Plans of Care.
• Implement the Plan of Care for patients.
• Complete effective, professional, and timely documentation.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program with a Master's degree in Speech/Language or Communication Disorders.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Association or equivalent coursework to meet these standards.
• Current Idaho State SLP license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of prior experience.
