About the role
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to children in a clinic-based setting. The SLP will work with children with communication disorders affecting speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine needs.
- Interpret evaluation results and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on student goals.
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services.
- Implement evidence-based treatment strategies to improve communication skills.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, therapy notes, and IEP updates.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and state/federal regulations.
- Collaborate with families and other persons supporting the child's development and skill growth.
- Provide training and strategies for educators to facilitate classroom communication.
- Communicate with caregivers about progress and recommendations for home support.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Tennessee licensure as an SLP.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience in clinic-based settings or pediatric populations preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee.
- Must have a current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
