BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a per diem opportunity performing home health visits in Lancaster and Lebanon County. This role serves adult and geriatric patients in their homes. Prior home care experience is a plus but not required.

About the Role

As a home care Speech Language Pathologist, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team providing rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, enabling them to receive necessary medical care at home.

Responsibilities

  • Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
  • Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
  • Develop a treatment plan based on evaluation, physician’s orders, and recommended goals.
  • Continually assess and revise the speech therapy care plan, collaborating with BAYADA clinicians in the multidisciplinary care plan as appropriate.
  • Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other representatives in rehabilitative care and activities to promote health, safety, and independent living.
  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations using a state-of-the-art touchpad tablet.

Qualifications

  • A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
  • Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or:
    • Have equivalent educational requirements (as indicated by school transcript or diploma) and work experience necessary for certification, and be awaiting the opportunity to take the ASHA examination, or
    • Have completed necessary work and education requirements and be accumulating supervised work experience required for certification.
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Pay

Base pay ranges from $65.00 to $75.00 per point, depending on qualifications and subject to negotiation.
