Speech Language Pathologist

About the role

TheraPeds Partners is a therapist-owned and operated organization that partners with schools to provide Speech Language Pathology (SLP) services to PreK-12 students nationwide. This is a full-time, on-site role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Soldotna, AK.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide therapy services to students, conduct assessments, develop IEP plans, evaluate progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy services to students from PreK through 12th grade
• Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Monitor student progress and participate in IEP meetings and educational planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents)
• Manage assigned student caseload across 1-5 school locations
• Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, documentation, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
• State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
• Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
• National License: ASHA Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
• CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
• Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates are encouraged to apply
• Experience working with children
• Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology
• Fingerprint background clearance
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical movement functions such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities

Pay

$55-$65+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of approximately $2,062-$2,437+

Schedule

• Full-time school-based opportunity with a 37.5-hour weekly schedule
• 2026-2027 academic year (August 2026 through May/June 2027)
• Fully on-site, in-person assignment
