Primary Job Duties
- Evaluate children for speech, language, and communication concerns seen in the classroom and/or as reported by parents
- Provide direct therapy services to students in the least restrictive environment
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and Playworks team to support student communication goals and success in the classroom and across environments
- Provide parent and teacher education as well as home programming to help children continue progress across different environments
- Maintain detailed and accurate records for evaluation reports, progress notes, and daily notes
- Participate in meetings and provide input on student goals and progress to each child’s service team
Minimum Requirements
- Hold a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Preferred: Clinical Fellow in Speech-Language Pathology (CF-SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-A)
- Must hold a MN Department of Health License in the area of Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with children ages birth-5
- Good physical stamina with the ability to lift children as well as bending, kneeling, sitting and child size tables and chairs and on the floor
- Valid class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record
