The Vassalboro Community School is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist. Qualified candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. A valid Speech Pathologist license from the Maine State Board of Examiners in Speech Pathology and Audiology is also required.

Qualifications

Masters Degree in Speech/Language Pathology and CCC-SLP
Valid Speech Pathologist license from Maine State Board of Examiners in Speech Pathology and Audiology
Maine Criminal History Record Check (CHRC)

Performance Responsibilities

Assess students' communication skills
Collaborate with various groups and individuals
Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students
Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials
Instruct assigned support staff and eligible students
Interpret medical reports
Maintain files and records
Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars
Prepare written materials
Provide speech and language therapy

Terms of Employment

The position is full-time during the school year. Salary and work year will be established by the School Committee and Superintendent.

Evaluation

The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the School Committee’s policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
