Responsibilities

Speech Language Pathologist Summary

• Provide Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) therapy and related services while maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients in accordance with Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines.
• Deliver quality patient care, including screening, evaluation, development of treatment plans, discharge planning, and case management.
• Maintain professional conduct representing Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding speech-language pathology therapy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Optimize patients' communication, cognitive-linguistic abilities, and swallowing skills through speech therapy.
• Build and strengthen the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) therapy program.
• Enhance clinical expertise, professional, and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, self-study, and continuing education.
• Maintain a valid state license and stay updated on issues related to the profession and healthcare environment.
• Understand relevant payment models, billing, treatment guidelines, and clinically appropriate delivery methods.
• Provide quality care with reasonable goals and outcomes within guidelines.
• Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within facilities.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English for instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology.
• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license (where appropriate).
• Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation and basic internet navigation.
