Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement treatment for patients with speech, language, cognition, swallowing, and other related disorders as prescribed by a physician.
• Assist in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs to enhance department services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Active license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of employment, free of disciplinary action.
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, free of disciplinary action – OR – Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) considered on a case-by-case basis (with proper supervision).
• At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers upon hire and maintained thereafter.
