About the role

A new elementary school in Montezuma, IN is seeking a dedicated, in-person Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students' growth and success. With an anticipated enrollment of approximately 200 students, including pre-kindergarten, and fewer than 40 students currently identified with IEPs requiring speech therapy services, this is an exciting opportunity to help establish and shape services in a brand-new school community. You'll work closely with students, families, teachers, and support staff to ensure students receive the individualized support they need to thrive academically, socially, and developmentally.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments to identify student communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized speech-language treatment plans aligned with student goals
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development, accommodations, and progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation, compliance records, progress reports, and service logs
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that fosters communication growth

Requirements

  • Active Indiana Speech-Language Pathologist licensure and appropriate school-based credentials, if required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation requirements, and student-centered service delivery
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
