Boothby Therapy Services is actively hiring Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) throughout Maine for the 2026–2027 school year. We partner with school districts across the state and offer opportunities in diverse educational settings.

About the Role

Rather than placing clinicians into a single opening, we take a personalized approach and match candidates with positions based on their experience, preferred age group, clinical interests, and geographic location. Whether you're looking for a preschool caseload, elementary students, secondary populations, or a mixed-age assignment, we'll help find the right fit.

Compensation & Incentives

  • $50–$60 Per Hour
  • Guaranteed Pay: At Boothby, you're paid for your scheduled time, even when students are absent or sessions are canceled. Your compensation shouldn't depend on factors outside your control.
  • Sign-On Bonus Eligibility: Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, depending on assignment, location, and experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by placement but may include:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school students
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
  • Deliver direct therapy services through individual and small-group sessions
  • Support students with:
    • Articulation and phonological disorders
    • Receptive and expressive language disorders
    • Social/pragmatic communication
    • Fluency disorders
    • Voice disorders
    • AAC and assistive communication needs
  • Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of diverse age groups and developmental levels
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Monitor progress and maintain compliant documentation
  • Support students in achieving greater communication, independence, and educational success

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • CCC-SLP or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF-SLP/CFY)
  • Active Maine SLP License or eligibility
  • School-based, pediatric, or special education experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
